FARMINGTON — Torey L. Seymour-Russell, 57, is accused of opening a bank account with a counterfeit check.
Before it was realized the check was counterfeit, she had withdrawn all the money, which is in excess of $10,000, Deputy Police Chief Shane Cote said Friday.
Officer Darin Gilbert began an investigation last week after a complaint was received.
Gilbert arrested Torey L. Seymour-Russell of Farmington on Thursday on a felony charge of theft by deception, Cote said.
Seymore-Russell was being held without bail Friday morning at the Franklin County Detention Center in Farmington.
She is expected to go before a judge Friday afternoon for bail to be set.
