The Winthrop’s 31st Sidewalk Art Festival is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, in downtown Winthrop.

The Winthrop Lakes Region Chamber of Commerce is accepting applications from artists and crafters who would like to take part in the event.

Prizes will be awarded for Best in Show, Best Artist and Best Crafter.

This year, the Chamber hopes to add several new artists, increase community involvement and offer a variety of entertainment and refreshments.

The registration fee is $50 before June 15, or $60 after. The registration deadline is Aug. 1.
