The University of Maine women’s basketball team has signed a 6-foot-2 junior college transfer to a scholarship.

Alexandra Bolozova, a native of Slovakia, played the past two seasons at Murray State Junior College in Tishomingo, Oklahoma. She averaged 13 points, 4.3 rebounds and four blocks in 19 games before an undisclosed injury. Bolozova could see playing time immediately with the Back Bears. Maine’s only graduate from this past year’s team was 6-2 back-up post player Kirsten Johnson.

Bolozova is the third player signed this off-season, joining 5-11 guard Doga Alper and 5-8 point guard Rongomai Timson.
