Lincoln County Historical Association will host a contest for Lincoln County residents between the ages of 10 to 13 and 14 to 18. “It’s Our History,” will encourage youth to explore the association’s three historic sites and create a five- to 10-minute video based on all three sites in Wiscasset.

“It’s Our History” is an opportunity to explore aspects of our county’s history using the medium of video to document the heritage and events that are part of the Chapman-Hall House, Pownalborough Court House, and the 1811 Old Jail.

Participants can work on their own or with a group. Each participant is limited to one entry. To register, visit lincolncountyhistory.org, download and fill out the registration form and mail it in by June 15. The website contest page also will detail the guidelines.

Videos will be judged on creativity, adherence to the guidelines, historical accuracy and video quality. Two $100 prizes will be awarded: one for each age category. Winners will be announced at the association’s Summer Social held in August.
