It’s spring and it’s raining food and restaurant news:

The second location of Elsmere BBQ in Portland’s Deering Center opened Tuesday at 476 Stevens Ave.

In other barbecue news, Jonathan St. Laurent has opened his “pop-up” version of Uncle Billy’s at 539 Deering Ave., in Portland’s Woodfords Corner. Word is the restaurant has the same jukebox filled with 45s from the original Uncle Billy’s in South Portland 28 years ago.

Lio, chef Cara Stadler’s newest restaurant, opened this week at 3 Spring St., in Portland.

Duckfat’s Frites Shack is now open at 43 Washington Ave., selling not only their Belgian fries but milkshakes, salads and craft sodas as well. The window opens at noon daily.

Sagamore Hill, a bar inspired by Teddy Roosevelt, has opened at 150 Park St., in the Lafayette Arms. When the political news of the day gets you down, try one of their presidentially inspired cocktails.
