The Gardiner boys lacrosse team saw its season come to an end Saturday afternoon, falling to Greely 19-5 in the Class B quarterfinals.

Schuyler Wetmore scored eight goals and had five assists to lead the top-seeded Rangers (10-3), who led 12-3 at halftime. Andrew Lawrence added four goals and two assists, and Sawyer Gagnon made 11 saves.

Tanner Hebert scored two goals for the ninth-seeded Tigers, who finished at 6-8. Parker Smith and Parker Hinkley had a goal and an assist apiece, and Brad Phillis rounded out the scoring. Noah Keene made 11 saves.

BASEBALL

BREWER 11, GARDINER 7: A big third inning doomed the sixth-seeded Tigers in the B North semifinals in Brewer.

The second-seeded Witches (13-5) scored 10 runs in the frame, and added one more in the bottom of the sixth. Gardiner scored all four runs in the top of the fourth.

Garrett Lunt had a triple for Gardiner, which finished the season at 14-5.
