Maine author Monica Wood will present a talk on “The Role of Failure in the Creative Life” at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, at Winslow Public Library, 136 Halifax St.
Wood’s most recent novel, “The One-in-a-Million Boy,” earned international interest, with 22 foreign editions in more than 30 countries. She also is the author of “When We Were the Kennedys,” a New England bestseller, Oprah magazine summer-reading pick, and winner of the May Sarton Memoir Award and the Maine Literary Award. Her novel “Any Bitter Thing” was an ABA bestseller and Book Sense Top Ten pick.
A book sale and signing will follow the author’s presentation.
