WAYNE — The Cary Memorial Library will host quilt connoisseur Bonnie Dwyer, who will present a Trunk Show covering 150 Years of American Quilts at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, in the library’s lower level A at 17 Old Winthrop Road.

Dwyer will share her passion for and knowledge about quilts old and new. She travels widely doing lectures, workshops, classes, consults, repairs and appraisals.

This trunk show will include examples of quilts from mid-19th through mid-20th Century. Dwyer will bring a minimum of 25 quilts from her own collection that are representative of American quilting trends spanning 100 years. Participants are encouraged to bring quilts for discussion.

The program is free, the library is air-conditioned and fully accessible. For more information, call the library at 685-3612 or visit cary-memorial.lib.me.us.
