AUGUSTA — Police are reminding anyone parking cars in the city to keep them locked after several burglaries were reported over the last two nights.

The thefts were reported mostly by people who had left their vehicles unlocked, Augusta police wrote on the department’s Facebook page.

According to recent police logs, car burglaries were reported Wednesday morning on Carlisle Avenue and Thursday morning on Cony Street and South Belfast Avenue.

“Please lock your vehicles and if you see something or someone suspicious, call us,” police said in their Facebook post.
