KINGFIELD — The Ski Museum of Maine was awarded a grant from the Maine Community Foundation to support the creation and installation of the newest exhibit in the museum “Maine Olympians — From the Pine Tree State to the World Stage” at its gallery, 256 Main St.
The official unveiling of this exhibit will take place at 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28. A reception will follow and refreshments will be served.
This exhibit presents the stories of Maine’s participants in each of the Winter Olympics from 1948 to present day. It portrays these remarkable individuals and explores the reasons that Maine is home to so many outstanding nordic, alpine skiers, jumpers and snowboarders. This exhibit will remain in place for the upcoming year.
