PORTLAND — Maine has the lowest gas prices in northern New England, though Vermont saw the biggest drop in prices over the last week.
The latest surveys from GasBuddy show prices in Maine fell less than one cent per gallon to an average of $2.23 per gallon. In New Hampshire, the prices dropped 3 cents per gallon to $2.28. In Vermont, the average cost of a gallon of gas dropped nearly 5 cents to $2.39.
The national average has dropped 10 cents per gallon in the last month.
