NEWCASTLE — The skid is over for the Cony girls basketball team.

Alyssa Redman scored 16 points to lead the Rams over Lincoln Academy, 49-32, in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference game for their first win of the season.

Julia Reny scored 11 points and Reilly Fleck had eight for the Rams, who improved to 1-15.

Chelsea Williams had 12 points for the Eagles (8-8).

MESSALONSKEE 48, MEDOMAK VALLEY 38: Gabrielle Wener’s double-double led the Eagles (8-7) to the KVAC A victory in Oakland.

Wener had 23 points and 10 rebounds, while Grace Wener (10 rebounds) and Emily Parent added eight points apiece.

Lydia Simmons had 12 points for Medomak (9-7), while Abby Lash scored 11.

BOOTHBAY 72, MT. ABRAM 32: Kaylee Knight scored 11 points for the Roadrunners in a Mountain Valley Conference loss to the Seahawks in Salem.

Ashlyn Sorel added seven points for Mt. Abram (5-11).

Faith Blethen led Boothbay (16-0) with 28 points, while Glory Blethen added 15 points.

HALL-DALE 37, DIRIGO 36: Caden Wills scored 18 points to lead the Bulldogs to an MVC win over the Cougars in Dixfield.

Iris Ireland added 11 points for Hall-Dale (10-6).

FOREST HILLS 45, SEACOAST CHRISTIAN 38: Alexis Campbell scored 13 points to help lead the Tigers (7-9) to the East/West Conference victory in Jackman.

Taylor Fountaine had 10 points and Alexandra Lessard added eight for Forest Hills.

Katie Pilkington had 15 points for Seacoast (2-14), and Allyson Akerberg added nine.

BOYS BASKETBALL

MEDOMAK VALLEY 52, MESSALONSKEE 50: Tucker Charles scored 22 points, but it wasn’t enough for the Eagles, who fell to the Panthers in a KVAC A game in Waldoboro.

Matthew Parent added 12 points for Messalonskee (8-7).

Trevor Brown led Medomak (11-5) with 13 points. Gabe Allaire added 11 points.

CONY 94, LINCOLN ACADEMY 51: Six different players scored in double figures to give the Rams a a victory over Lincoln Academy in Newcastle.

Kyle Douin led the Rams (12-4) with 13 points. Bryan Stratton scored 12 points, while Luke Briggs, Dakota Dearborn and Simon McCormick each added 11 points for Cony. Ian Bowers grabbed 10 rebounds.

Joel Hatch scored 12 points for Lincoln (1-15).

FOREST HILLS 74, SEACOAST 30: Parker Desjardins scored 17 points and had seven assists as the Tigers improved to 16-0 in Jackman.

Brandon Gilboe had 16 points and 12 rebounds, while Hunter Cuddy and Jakob Rivas had 12 points apiece.

Brandon Vachon scored eight points for Seacoast (3-13).

TEMPLE 56, NORTH YARMOUTH 42: Ilija Ivkovic and Nathan Riportella scored 12 points apiece to lead the Bereans (11-4).

Stevo Kruta scored 11 and Nicholas Blaisdell scored 10 for Temple.

Bryce Bernier tallied 16 for NYA (8-7), and Miles Chapman had 10.

BOOTHBAY 81, MT. ABRAM 55: Adam Luce scored 11 points and Nathan Luce added 10 points for the Roadrunners in an MVC loss to the Seahawks in Boothbay Harbor.

CONY 70, WINTHROP 62: Katrina Boisvert scored 16 points to lead the Rams to a victory over the Ramblers in Augusta.

Addie Bowden scored 12 points, while Ethan MacGregor added 10 points for Cony.

Trevor Martel led Winthrop with 28 points. Lukas Thompson scored 16, while Sarah McConnell added 14 points.
