The Joe Beninati Trio will bring jazz to the annex room at the Chocolate Church Arts Center at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, at 804 Washington St. in Bath.
Beninati and his trio will bring their broad range of influences together to create an eclectic mix of traditional jazz, latin, funk and soul. Melody, harmony, rhythm, texture and form walk a razor’s edge as these musicians explore the sonic palette.
The trio is made up of jazz musicians Shaun Bolduc on upright bass, Eric Napier on guitar and Beninati on drums. The dynamic trio started in early 2017 as three friends wanting to workshop jazz standards as a way of studying the tradition and growing as musicians. The trio has been playing restaurants, pubs and events in and around Portland and southern Maine since.
Tickets will cost $12 in advance or $15 at the door.
