WATERVILLE — Liz Sugg and Jordan Linscott each scored three goals to lead the Erskine girls lacrosse team to a 14-3 win over MCI/Nokomis in a Class C match at Thomas College.

Kassidy Wade, Joanna Linscott and Courtney Tibbetts each had two goals, while Sarah Praul and Tori Grasse each added a score for Erskine (2-0).

Meagan Whitten scored two goals for MCI/Nokomis (0-3), while Mallory Whitley added a goal. Janell Ward had 19 saves.

 

WESTBROOK 19, LAWRENCE 7: Michaela Russell had seven goals and Kaitlyn Talbot had five to lead the Blue Blazes. Goalie Pauline Bandayo had 16 saves.

Westbrook improves to 1-1 while Messalonskee falls to 0-2.

BOYS LACROSSE

 

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 13, MT. BLUE 4: Keegan Roberts had a goal and an assists, but it wasn’t enough for the Cougars, who fell to the Patriots in Gray.

Evan Stone, Dom Giampietro and Caleb Haines each had goals for Mt. Blue (1-1). Nick Fraser had 13 saves.

Andrew LaCerda led Gray-New Gloucester (1-1) with five goals and two assists. Travis Caron added four goals.

OXFORD HILLS 17, CONY 0: Lauren Merrill had nine strikeouts en route to a no-hitter as Oxford Hills defeated Cony in KVAC action.

Brooke Carson had two home runs for the Vikings (4-0) while Kiara McLeod had a triple.

Other repeat hitters for Oxford Hills included Bella Deviva, Madison Day and Haileigh Sawyer who each had a single and a double while Merrill had two singles. Ashley Childs and Katie Montelongo each had a double.

Gaby McGuire went the distance for Cony (1-3) allowing 17 runs, striking out three and walking four.

 

BASEBALL

OXFORD HILLS 13, CONY 0: Wyatt Williamson threw a two-hitter, striking out seven as the Vikings defeated the Rams in five innings in Paris.

Williamson also went 3-for-3 at the plate for Oxford Hills (4-0).

Janek Luksza had three hits for the Vikings and 2 RBIs. Jonny Pruitt and Rodney Bean each had a double and two RBIs while Ashton Kennison had three RBIs to go along with his two singles.

Cony falls to 2-2.
