FARMINGDALE — The Hall-Dale softball team came out on top in a key Mountain Valley Conference matchup, beating Monmouth 9-5 Saturday morning.

Grace Begin had a triple among three hits for the Bulldogs (7-1), who trailed 5-4 but took the lead for good with two runs in the fourth before adding three in the fifth. Emma Soule (two hits), Lily Platt and KK Wills had doubles, and Iris Ireland added a pair of singles for Hall-Dale.

Sarah Benner picked up the win in the circle.

Emma Johnson (two hits) and Haylee Langlois had doubles for the Mustangs (5-2), and Mariah Herr had a pair of singles.

 

SKOWHEGAN 17 CAMDEN HILLS 0: Amber Merry hit a pair of doubles and allowed just one hit in a strong pitching effort to lead Skowhegan to the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A win in Rockport.

Jaycie Christopher added three hits for Skowhegan (9-0), including a double. Annie Cooke and Mariah Dunbar also doubled for Skowhegan.

 

VALLEY 19-22, VINALHAVEN 4-1: Cylee Pratt threw a no-hitter in game one as the Cavaliers swept the East/West Conference doubleheader.

Emily Collins had five hits, including a home run, and drove in nine runs for Valley on the day. Pratt struck out 12 in game one for the no-hitter.

Brielle Hill struck out 12 and allowed one hit for the win in game two. Valley is 4-1, Vinalhaven is 0-4.

OAK HILL 16, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 0, 5 innings: Sadie Waterman had two doubles, a triple and a single to lead the Oak Hill Raiders to a in five inning victory  in am MVC contest.

Julia Noel had three hits as she had two singles and a double while Abby Nadeau had a double and a single. Mahala Smith and Molly Flaherty had two singles while Miranda Kramer doubled.

Flaherty when all five innings for the Raiders (7-).

Courtney Carrier went the first four inning for the Falcons (0-7) while Karizma Chickering came in the fifth inning.

MOUNTAIN VALLEY 10, OAK HILL 0, 5 innings: Cam Godbois threw a one hitter with 10 strikeouts and also had two doubles as the Falcons won in five innings in an MVC contest.

Godbois and Ethan Laubauskas each drove in two runs while Fischer Cormer had a double for the Falcons (7-1). Isaac Morrissette had the only hit for the Raiders (4-4).

 

RICHMOND 23, FOREST HILLS 0: Justin Vachon and Mitch Couturier combined on a no-hitter, and Vachon also homered to lift the Bobcats (5-3) to the East/West Conference win in Richmond.

Couturier added a double among three hits, while Chance Taylor doubled and had four hits for the Bobcats. Andrew Vachon hit a triple and Dakotah Gilpatric had a double for Richmond, while Ben Gardner and Derek Barrett had a pair of singles.

Forest Hills fell to 4-3.

 

GIRLS LACROSSE

 

LINCOLN ACADEMY 12, ERSKINE 8: Liz Sugg and Cassidy Wade each scored three goals, but it wasn’t enough for Erskine, which fell ot Lincoln Academy in Newcastle on Friday.

Alyssa Savage had four assists for Erskine (3-1).

Camden Level and Alex Pabuano each scored five goals for Lincoln (3-3).
