Doris (Hart) Haley

BATH / Old Town – Doris L. Haley, 83, peacefully passed away Sept. 27, 2019, following a brief illness. She was born March 22, 1936, the youngest of nine children, to Ralph and Eva Hart.
Doris was predeceased by her parents; and her eight siblings, Madelyn, Louise, Shirley, Mabel, Charles, Donald, Harold and Richard.
She is survived by her daughter, Brenda (Gastia) Arnall and her husband Robert, Ronald Gastia and his wife Sherri, Kevin Gastia and his wife Crystal and, Eric Gastia and his wife Dawn. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren, Brandon, Daniel, McKayla, Joseph, Andy, Jada and Owen.
Family was most important to Doris, and having a large and extended family, she also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and brothers and sisters-in-law, all of whom she loved dearly.   
At Doris’ request, there will not be a funeral service. A private interment will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery in Bath. Family and friends are invited to a reception in celebration of her life at Maritime Apartments in the Community Room on Oct. 5, 2019, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Doris requested no flowers.   
The family thanks, and will be forever grateful to the staff of Horizons Living and Rehabilitation Center for their compassion and assistance during Doris’ final days.
