To celebrate the publication of Fish Passage Options at Gardiner Paperboard and New Mills Dams on Feb. 14,  also known by some as St. Valenfishes’ Day, Upstream members extend invite to spend quality time on the day of love to learn about the environmental benefits and economic importance of a restored fishery on Cobbossee Stream and in the entire watershed, according to a news release from Upstream.

Follow the links that day on Upstream’s website sites.google.com/view/upstreamcobbossee/home and Facebook page facebook.com to a presentation by Joe McLean, project engineer at Acadia Civil Works, to see highlights of the plan. There also will be links to an informative presentation from Steve Brooke of Upstream about their favorite fish the Alewife, along with links to research on water quality and the restoration of Alewives throughout Maine waters.
