WATERVILLE — Kali Thompson scored 10 points and grabbed a game-high 19 rebounds to lead the Waterville girls basketball team to a 38-37 victory over Erskine on Friday night.

Kiera Gilman scored 12 points to lead the Purple Panthers, who trailed 13-4 after the first quarter before rallying.

Abby Saucier pulled down 11 rebounds for Waterville as well.

Emily Clark scored nine points to help pace Erskine.

MARANACOOK 67, LEAVITT 35: Gabby Green and Grace Dwyer scored 16 points apiece to lead the Black Bears to the rout in Readfield.

Anna Drillen added 13 points, while Ella Schmidt had nine.

Alison Noniewicz had 14 points for the Hornets. Emma Chaisson added eight.

 

LAWRENCE 28, MESSALONSKEE 25: Alisabeth Dumont and Sarah Poli scored six points apiece to lead the Bulldogs to the win in Oakland.

Alicen Higgins added five points for Lawrence (4-0).

Brennan Doran scored six points to lead Messalonskee (2-3) while Morgan Genness had five.

 

SKOWHEGAN 65, NOKOMIS 55: Jaycee Christopher had 27 points, 11 in the fourth quarter as the RiverHawks earned the win in Newport.

Callaway Lepage added 22 points for Skowhegan.

Nokomis was led by Cameron King with 16 points and seven rebounds and Maddy King with 14 points.

BOYS BASKETBALL

 

MESSALONSKEE 61, LAWRENCE 52: Matt Parent scored a game-high 22 points to lead the Eagles to the win in Fairfield.

Aiden Doran added 10 points for Messalonskee (3-1).

Zack Nickerson led Lawrence (3-3) with 17 points while Nick Blaisdell chipped in 11.

ERSKINE 69, WATERVILLE 37: Dan Page had 30 points and 15 rebounds to lead the Eagles to the win in South China.

Logan Tenney added 16 points for Erskine (3-4).

Liam VonOesen led Waterville (0-8) with 11 points.

 

WINSLOW 63, CONY 56: Jason Reynolds’s 21 points and 13 rebounds led the Black Raiders (3-4) to the victory in Winslow.

Andrew Poulin was the Raiders’ top scorer with 22 points, while Reid Gagnon had 16 points and 14 rebounds.

Brayden Barbeau had 13 points and Brady Hopkins scored 12 points for the Rams (5-3).

 

MARANACOOK 70, LEAVITT 53: Cash McClure’s 23 points led the Black Bears to the win in Turner.

Eljas Bergdahl added 11 points for Maranacook, and Tyler Hreben scored 10.

Wyatt Hathaway scored 20 for the Hornets.

OXFORD HILLS 68, MT. BLUE 39: The visiting Vikings pulled away in the second quarter on their way to a resounding victory over the Cougars in Farmington.

The Oxford Hills lead was 19-7 after one quarter, but then stretched to 40-17 at halftime. Hayden Paine paced the Vikings with 15 points, while Colby Dillingham pitched in with 11.

Chandler Briggs matched the game-high with 15 points for Mt. Blue, which also nine from Evans Sterling.
