Residents of Freedom are scheduled to go to the polls Friday to elect a selectman, town clerk, tax collector, excise tax collector and treasurer.

But the annual Town Meeting will be held at a date to be announced, as other municipalities are likewise taking a wait-and-see approach a year into the coronavirus pandemic.

Voting Friday will be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the election hall next door to the town office.

Incumbent Selectman Stephen Bennett faces opposition for a three-year seat on the Board of Selectmen from Nathan McCann and April Turner. That seat includes the positions of assessor and overseer of the poor.

Incumbent Town Clerk Cynthia Abbott is running unopposed for the clerk’s position for a one-year term. She also is running unopposed for one-year terms as tax collector and excise tax collector.

Dyann Anderson and Brandy Kimball are running for a one-year term as town treasurer.
