SOUTH CHINA — Sarah Praul scored five goals, including the game-deciding goal with minutes left to play, to give the Erskine girls lacrosse team a 10-9 win over Lincoln Academy on Thursday.

Isabella Smith and Isabella Boudreau each had two goals for Erskine (2-3), while Grace Hutchins added a goal. Annaliese Patterson had 10 saves.

Josie Henry had five goals for Lincoln Academy (0-1), while Camden LeBel and Marley LeBel each added two goals.

VALLEY 19, TEMPLE ACADEMY 1: Emily Collins had two hits, including a triple, to lead the Cavaliers to a win over the Bereans in Bingham.

Lucy McDonald added a double for Valley (1-0).

Temple falls to 0-1.

WATERVILLE 4, MOUNT VIEW 2: Joe Hamelin had four hits, including a double, to lead the Purple Panthers to a win over the Mustangs in Thorndike.

Liam Von Oesen and Spencer Minihan each added three hits for Waterville (2-2). Minihan had a double, while Von Oesen had a triple.

Brady Moulton had two doubles for Mount View (1-1), while pitcher Noah Hurd struck out 10 batters.

 

DIRIGO 4, MT. ABRAM 0: The Cougars (2-1) scored early in the second inning and held on to the lead to take down the Road Runners (5-1) on Thursday at Mt. Abram.

Trenton Hutchinson took the win on the mound for Dirigo, going six innings and allowing two hits while striking out four. Hutchinson also had a hit and an RBI to help with the win at the plate.

Hunter Warren hit a double for Mt. Abram but took the loss, giving up four runs on two hits. Warren, Adam Luce and Kenyon Pillsbury all earned one hit.
