NEWCASTLE — Lilly Diversi scored seven goals to lead Gardiner past Lincoln 13-2 in girls lacrosse action Thursday.

Emma Bourget added two goals and three assists for Gardiner (2-1) while Avery Baker chipped in two goals and an assist. Maddy Blais and Sophie Blanchard each had a goal. Skye Cotnoir made 16 saves.

Camden Lebel and Annie Peaslee each scored for Lincoln (0-2). Addie Brinkler stopped nine shots.

HALL-DALE 7, MARANACOOK 4: Sarah Benner had two hits and Lilly Platt had a double to lead the Bulldogs to a win over the Black Bears in Farmingdale.

Rita Benoit earned the win in the circle for Hall-Dale (5-0).

Kaleigh Kubicki had two hits, including a home run, for Maranacook (1-2).

 

VALLEY 14, TEMPLE 2: Jada Ward had a triple and a single to spark the Cavaliers to a 5-inning win in Bingham.

Emily Collins, Surata Wright and Kara Bigelow each added a double and a single for Valley (3-0).

Temple is 0-1.

 

LAWRENCE 5, WATERVILLE 3: Sarah Poli had a double and a single to lead the Bulldogs to the win in Waterville.

Sage Reed tossed a one-hitter with 13 strikeouts and nine walks and Maylie Knox was also a repeat hitter for Lawrence (3-0).

Raylee Gilbert had the only hit for Waterville (2-3).

BASEBALL

 

LEWISTON 6, CONY 1: Josh Murphy struck out 12 and allowed two hits in 6.2 innings, leading the Blue Devils to the victory in Lewiston.

Andon Cox had two RBI and two hits for Lewiston (1-3), while Noah Hill (two runs), Daxton St. Hilaire and Murphy also had two hits.

Kyle Douin hit a triple for the Rams (3-3).

SKOWHEGAN 12, NOKOMIS 1: Tyler Annis doubled and drove in three runs to lead the River Hawks to the KVAC victory in Skowhegan.

Ben Morgan drove in a pair of runs and Cooper Bardwell doubled for Skowhegan.

Sophomore Jackson Quinn earned the victory, striking out five in five innings.

Mike Scharf drove in the lone Nokomis run.

 

RICHMOND 12, ST. DOMINIC 2, 5 innings: Andrew Vachon moved to 2-0 on the mound this season and also helped himself with a double and two singles in the Bobcats win at home.

Connor Vachon added two singles for Richmond (3-0). St. Dominic falls to 0-1.
