MANCHESTER — Officials in Manchester are expected next week to discuss possible uses for about $267,000 in American Rescue Program Act funding.

The informational meeting is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 14, in conjunction with the town’s regular Board of Selectmen meeting. The public is invited to attend and offer input.

Town Manager Pat Gilbert said space at the Town Office is limited. Gilbert said residents and other interested people can attend in person or via Zoom from the town’s website.

Gilbert said the federal funding is intended to help state, local and tribal governments respond to the impacts of COVID-19 on their communities, residents and businesses.

Selectman Chair Paula Thomas said the board’s goal with the funds is to maximize the benefit to Manchester residents.

The town is accepting public comments in person or by mail, email or telephone at 207-622-1894.
