MADISON — Oak Hill rallied from an eight-point deficit to start the fourth quarter to earn a 55-52 win over Madison in a Mountain Valley Conference boys basketball game Friday.

The Raiders trailed 44-36 to start the final period. Ramon Spearman and Ethan Vattaso each scored 13 points to lead Oak Hill (2-1) while D’andre Daniels added 11.

Madison (1-2) was led by Callan Franzose with 25 points and nine rebounds while Thomas Dean had 17 points and 13 rebounds.

 

CONY 66, MT. BLUE 45: Luke Briggs scored 23 points and had five assists, and the Rams rallied back from a 12-point second quarter deficit to earn the win in Augusta.

Parker Sergent had 14 points for Cony (3-0), which trailed 18-6 with five minutes to go in the second, while Kam Douin had 11 points and eight rebounds.

Evans Sterling scored 26 points to lead Mt. Blue (1-2), which was hurt by 37 turnovers, while Chandler Briggs scored 13.

 

WINSLOW 64, BELFAST 42: Jason Reynolds scored 32 points to lead the Black Raiders (2-0) in Winslow.

Andrew Poulin added 21 for Winslow, which led 45-17 at halftime.

Andrew Abelon led the Lions (0-3) with 14 points, while James Ritter and Rico Washington scored 10 apiece.

CARRABEC 59, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 41: Luke Carey had 25 points and 10 assists and seven rebounds to lead the Cobras to the MVC win in North Anson.

Joel Gehrke added 11 points for Carrabec (2-1) while Elijah Canales added nine.

Zach New scored 19 points and Airick Richard added 11 to pace Mountain Valley (1-2).

 

SKOWHEGAN 52, MESSALONSKEE 36: Levi Obert scored a game-high 16 points to lead the River Hawks to the KVAC A win in Oakland.

Adam Savage added 11 points for Skowhegan (2-1).

Alden Doran led Messalonskee (0-3) with 13 points while Owen Axelson chipped in nine.

 

DIRIGO 88, HALL-DALE 25: Dakota Tompkins dropped in 27 of his game-high 31 points in the first half for the Cougars in Dixfield.

Trenton Hutchinson added 15 points for Dirigo (2-1) and Logan Timberlake had 12. The Cougars made nine 3-pointers.

Ben Nathan scored eight points for Hall-Dale (1-2).

SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 52, MT. ABRAM 42: Jace Bessey scored 11 of his game-high 22 points in a third quarter to power the Phoenix in Salem.

Elie Timler added 10 points for Spruce Mountain (2-0).

Payton Mitchell and Kaden Pillsbury each scored 10 points for Mt. Abram (1-3).

GARDINER 66, LINCOLN 39: Savannah Brown scored 22 points, 14 coming in the first quarter, and the Tigers (2-1) rolled to the win in their home opener.

Lizzy Gruber added 13 points for Gardiner, while Megan Gallagher scored seven.

Paige Lafrenaye had 14 points for the Eagles (0-3), while Payson Kaler had 10.

 

OCEANSIDE 63, MARANACOOK 46: Bailey Breen hit three 3-pointers en route to 17 points, leading the Mariners (3-0) to the KVAC win in Readfield.

Audrey MacKie hit four threes on her way to 16 points, and Abby Waterman scored 13.

Grace Dwyer had 12 points to lead the Black Bears (1-1), while Ella Schmidt and Natalie Mohlar had 10 apiece.
