Help Americana/alt-country and roots-rock act Greensky Bluegrass celebrate the release of its brand new album “Stress Dreams” by catching its show in Portland. Bassist Mike Devol wrote the title track, inspired by a series of frustrating, reoccurring dreams. Progressive bluegrass band Infamous Stringdusters open the show.

For a hand-clapping, foot-stompin’, heavenly harmonies kind of live music experience, head to One Longfellow Square for a show from Beg, Steal or Borrow. You’ll hear traditional and improvisational bluegrass and roots tunes, including ones from their 2019 album “Old Mountain Time.” Songs like “Molly Bootlegger,” “Harder Than Time” and “Bearcat” will bring a warm smile to your face on a cold January night.

If you’re a fan of The Allman Brothers Band, you won’t want to miss this show by local musicians, including 18-year-old virtuoso guitarist and vocalist Michael Corletto. Corletto is a senior at Kennebunk High School who got his first guitar at age 10. When he was 13, blues great Buddy Guy invited him to play on stage at a show in Portland. Wake Up Mama also comprises Tom Faunce (guitar/vocals), Rich O’Neil (keys), Chris Dow (drums), Kellen Hughey (bass), Marc Kaplan (percussion) and Jeff Glidden (drums).
