AUGUSTA — The Gardner/Hall-Dale girls swim team is enjoying a standout season, losing in just one of its meets.
The Tigers, with 18 swimmers on the roster, are poised to contend for the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B title on Feb. 5 in Bath.
“We have one of the biggest girls teams in the state,” coach Rob Pekins said. “We should score well.”
Gardiner/Hall-Dale, whose boys team has just three swimmers, celebrated its senior night Monday at the Kennebec Valley YMCA against Messalonskee.
The program recognized three Hall-Dale seniors — Renee Molesworth, Kiely MacDonald and Hadley Hayward. Grace Deering, Gwen Bolduc, Owen Wallace and Grace Milliken are the Gardiner seniors.
