SKOWHEGAN — A Somerset County grand jury recently handed up indictments charging 22 people with 62 criminal counts that include charges of domestic violence assault, operating under the influence and theft.
The grand jury handed up the indictments Feb. 24. An indictment is not a finding of guilt, rather an indication there is enough evidence to move forward with a trial. Grand jury indictments include:
• Thomas M. Morrill, 46, of Madison, one count of domestic violence criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon, two counts of criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon, one count of domestic violence assault and one count of criminal operating under the influence, Dec. 27, in Madison.
• Shannon Burrill, 43, of Smithfield, one count of domestic violence assault, two counts of assault on an officer, one count obstructing the report of a crime or injury and one count of refusing to submit to arrest, Jan. 24, in Smithfield.
• Juan Antonio Olivas, 42, of Odessa, Texas, one count of domestic violence criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon and one count of domestic violence assault, Oct. 24, in Madison.
• Derek A. Knowles, 42, one count of operating after revocation, one count failure to stop for an officer, one count of refusing to submit to arrest, Jan. 8, in Skowhegan.
• Alejandro Rivera, 32, of Fairfield, two counts of aggravated assault, Nov. 21, in Fairfield.
• Ronald Milton Grover, 67, of Anson, one count of domestic violence assault, Dec. 1, in Anson.
• Richard D. Palmer, 29, of Winterport, one count of theft by deception, May 27, in Fairfield.
• Howard C. Hatchell, 48, of Burnham, one count of operating after revocation, June 16, in Palmyra.
• Jon E. Cox, 33, of Oakland, one count of criminal operating under the influence, July 22, in Smithfield.
• Kyle Chase, 23, of Embden, one count of aggravated assault, one count of robbery, one count domestic violence assault, one count of domestic violence criminal threatening and one count theft by unauthorized taking, Oct. 10, in Embden.
• Jasper H. Downs, 39, of Madison, one count of domestic violence assault, one count of domestic violence criminal threatening, one count domestic violence terrorizing, one count assault, one count of criminal threatening, one count of theft by unauthorized taking and one count criminal mischief, Dec. 25, in Madison.
• Scott M. Martin, 32, of Fairfield, one count aggravated assault, two counts of domestic violence assault and two counts endangering the welfare of a child, April 1, 2021, and Jan. 31, 2021, in Fairfield.
• Jason Michael Sears, 39, of Skowhegan, one count operating after revocation, Oct. 31, in Skowhegan.
• Michael T. Cunningham, 55, of Norridgewock, one count domestic violence assault and one count domestic violence terrorizing, Dec. 31, in Norridgewock.
• Marc H. Courtemanche Jr., 44, of Athens, one count of operating after revocation, Aug. 24, in Athens.
• Joseph A. Fitzgerald, 37, of Skowhegan, one count of aggravated operating after habitual offender revocation, one count operating after revocation and one count criminal operating under the influence, Aug. 28, in Skowhegan.
• Amber D. Gerry, 32, of Etna, one count theft by unauthorized taking and one count of violation of conditions of release, Aug. 24, in Palmyra.
• Tanner R. Boyce, 24, of Anson, one count aggravated operating after habitual offender revocation, one count operating after revocation, one count criminal operating under the influence and one count of improper plates, Aug. 3, in North Anson.
• Timothy L. Hutchinson, 35, of Fairfield, one count aggravated assault, one count kidnapping, one count domestic violence assault, Dec. 5, in Fairfield; one count tampering with a victim, one count of violation of conditions of release, one count domestic violence stalking and one count of violation of a protective order, between Jan. 11 and Jan. 27, in Fairfield.
