PALMYRA — Voters in Palmyra have reelected several municipal officials and passed all articles on the annual town warrant as part of Town Meeting proceedings.

Vondell Dunphy and Jo-Ann Brown were reelected to the Select Board after running unopposed, Town Clerk Diane Cookson said Monday.

Jennifer Watson was also reelected to her position on the Regional School Unit 19 board of directors.

Municipal elections were held Friday, and residents then gathered Saturday at the Palmyra Community Center to approve all 53 articles on the warrant.

The articles included a $1,369,091 municipal budget, up $158,259 from last year. Residents also voted to use surplus funds to avoid an increase in property taxes.

Most of the increase to the budget was attributable to paving costs, according to Treasurer Priscilla Jones. The town paid off a paving loan last year, so that part of the budget would have decreased, but town officials decided to continue the paving program.

Voters also approved updated ordinances for commercial development review, the Planning Board, subdivisions, road standards for subdivisions and zoning.
