WATERVILLE — A man has been arrested after leading police on a car and foot chase, crashing his vehicle and damaging two others early Saturday morning, police said.

Tymberlin Peaslee, 18, was driving a 2008 Chevy Trailblazer on lower Main Street just after midnight when a Waterville police officer saw the vehicle had no license plates, Waterville Sgt. Scott Dumas said Saturday afternoon.

The officer attempted to pull the vehicle over, but Peaslee took off, driving south onto Water Street. As he drove away, Peaslee struck two other vehicles, causing significant damage to both, Dumas said.

Peaslee continued down Water Street, but drove off the road, crashing into a ditch near the boat landing. Officers arrived to find Peaslee exiting the vehicle, and he ran toward the boat launch until officers caught up to him in the woods, placing him under arrest.

While arresting Peaslee, officers found illegal drugs on him, and then discovered a firearm near the vehicle, Dumas said. The car had also been reported stolen in Oakland.

Peaslee has been charged with failure to stop for an officer, driving to endanger, theft by receiving stolen property, leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident, operating under the influence, unlawful trafficking of a scheduled drug, refusing to submit to arrest or detention, motor vehicle speeding and illegal possession of a firearm.
