Do you think it’s good for Twitter to be purchased Elon Musk?
Outspoken Tesla CEO Elon Musk recently reached an agreement to buy social media platform Twitter for about $44 billion, in a deal that could take several months to close. Musk, who is also the world’s wealthiest person, has promised to privatize the publicly-traded company and a more lenient touch to policing content.
Musk says he thinks Twitter is not living up to its potential as a platform for free speech, following high-profile instances of the company censoring content or permanently banning accounts for people such as former President Donald Trump. U.S. Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine, said this week that she’d support Trump’s Twitter account being reinstated.
