SOUTH CHINA — Brady Kirkpatrick had four goals and two assists to lead the Erskine Academy boys lacrosse team to a 10-4 win over Lawrence on Tuesday.

Casey Kirkpatrick had two goals and two assists, while Austin Nicholas had two goals and an assist for the Eagles (2-2).

Wyatt Pooler had 17 saves for the Bulldogs (1-3).

 

MESSALONSKEE 19, CONY 4: Will Durkee scored 6 goals to lead the Eagles to a win over the Rams in Oakland.

Garrett Bell had three goals, while Bryce Crowell, Rhys Bridges and Owen Kirk each scored two goals for Messalonskee (6-0).

Kyle Van Doren Crooker had three goals for Cony (1-3), while Nick Geneseo added a goal.

 

GIRLS LACROSSE

 

MT. BLUE 7, ERSKINE ACADEMY: Alissa Butterfield and Emma Dunn each scored two goals to lead the Cougars to a win over the Eagles in Farmington.

Chloe Roberts, Eryn Parlin and Maya Kellett added goals for Mt. Blue (2-2).

Sarah Praul scored all four goals for Erskine (2-4).

 

BASEBALL

 

MT. ABRAM 11, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 0: A couple of big middle innings for the Roadrunners were the difference in their Mountain Valley Conference victory in Strong.

Mt. Abram (4-0) scored seven runs in the third inning and then added four in the fourth to pull away from Mountain Valley.

Tucker Plouffe and Cam Grey both notched two hits a piece and also both hit a double for the Roadrunners. Trevor Phelps struck out nine batters in four innings without giving up a hit.

The Falcons fall to 0-5.

 

MONMOUTH 12, DIRIGO 7: Hayden Fletcher hit a pair of home runs to help the Mustangs (5-0) to a win over the Cougars (2-2) in Dixfield.

Monmouth’s Matt Marquis and Manny Calder both tallied a pair of hits while Seth McKenney had three hits including a double. Calder also earned the victory on the mound.

“It was a good win,” Monmouth coach Eric Palleschi said. “Sam pitched well. It took us a while to get going offensively but we got some runs in bunches. They did a good job, too, they hit the ball especially at the end. It was just another good win.”

Curtis Errington and Wyatt Smith both had a pair of hits while Charlie Houghton took the loss on the mound.

 

SOFTBALL

 

MONMOUTH ACADEMY 6, DIRIGO 0: Shanna Parsons had two hits including a double and three RBIs in the Mustangs (4-0) win over the Cougars (2-2) in Dixfield.

Katie Laliberte and Brooklyn Federico each had two hits in the win.

Federico pitched seven innings of shutout ball, striking out 12 and allowing two hits.

Emma MacFarlane and Abby Stevens had singles for Dirigo.
