Do you agree with the draft U.S. Supreme Court opinion overturning Roe v. Wade?

The nation has been rocked by the bombshell disclosure of a draft U.S. Supreme Court opinion overturning the case that legalized abortion nationwide. First reported by Politico, the draft opinion would overrule the landmark the Roe v. Wade case and would lead to abortion bans in roughly half the states.

Chief Justice John Roberts confirmed the authenticity of the draft opinion following the Politico report, while also vowing an investigation into the unprecedented leak that he called an “egregious breach of trust.”

Although it’s unclear if the draft represents the court’s final word on the matter — a final opinion would likely come in June or July — the disclosure immediately sparked political questions. Meanwhile, U.S. Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine, said assurances she received from conservative justices Brett Kavanaugh and Neil Gorsuch during their confirmation processes to respect that court’s landmark ruling are “completely inconsistent” with their support of the draft opinion. It was signed by Justice Samuel Alito, a member of the court’s 6-3 conservative majority.

But what do you think? Do you agree with the draft U.S. Supreme Court opinion overturning Roe v. Wade? Let us know what you think in the poll and comments below.
