SKOWHEGAN — A man accused of setting fire to two houses in Palmyra earlier this year was indicted on two counts of arson this week by a Somerset County grand jury.
Aaron K. Chadbourne, 55, of Palmyra is accused of setting fires Jan. 16 at the homes on Main Street.
Emergency crews were called at about 3:30 p.m. to one fire at 409 Main St. and shortly after were sent to another fire at 500 Main St., authorities said at the time. The first home was occupied by adults and three children while the second home was unoccupied and recently renovated. The occupants of the first home were not hurt.
Authorities have not publicly indicated why the fires were set.
The grand jury handed up indictments Monday against 25 people with 91 counts filed against them. An indictment is not a finding of guilt, rather an indication there is enough evidence to move forward with a trial.
The grand jury also indicted:

• Virgil R. White, 32, of Athens, charged with aggravated criminal trespass, domestic violence assault, assault and two counts criminal mischief, Jan. 23 in Skowhegan.
• Dakota P. Colson, 20, of Skowhegan, charged with elevated aggravated assault and two counts aggravated assault, June 4, 2020, in Harmony. Charged with aggravated assault, assault on a child less than 6 years old and violation of conditions of release, March 11, in Skowhegan.
• Chelsea E. Holt, 29, of Solon, charged with gross sexual assault and unlawful sexual contact, Nov. 15, in Solon.
• Charles D. Perri Jr., 28, of Norridgewock, charged with aggravated assault and domestic violence terrorizing, March 30 in Norridgewock.
• Steven Edwards, 49, of Mercer, 18 counts of possession of sexually explicit materials, Aug. 9, 2019, in Mercer.
• Rebecca Sue O’Clair, 39, of Fairfield, charged with burglary, theft by unauthorized taking, receiving stolen property and criminal mischief, Sept. 29 in Fairfield.
• Meagan M. Wade, 21, of Norridgewock, aggravated forgery, unlawful possession of scheduled drugs and violation of conditions of release, Dec. 9 in Fairfield.
• Cody A. I. Damon, 22, of Skowhegan, unlawful possession of scheduled drugs, Feb. 24 in Skowhegan.
• Brandon A. Berg, 34, of Lincoln, aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs, Nov. 10 in Fairfield.
• Shayna K. Hewett, 30, of Lincoln, aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs and violation of conditions of release, Nov. 10 in Fairfield.
• Derek Nickerson, 37, of Linneus, unlawful possession of scheduled drugs, violation of conditions of release, Feb. 8 in Skowhegan.
• Joel A. Farina, 31, of Skowhegan, unlawful possession of scheduled drugs, refusing to submit to arrest and violation of conditions of release, March 6 in Skowhegan.
