The Wiscasset Democratic Committee encourages all Wiscasset-registered Democrats and progressive Independents to gather at 6 p.m. Friday, July 22, at the Wiscasset Community Center, 242 Gardiner Road.

An evening is scheduled of food, music and organizing for the 2022 midterm elections and beyond.

The hosts plan to take care of the grilling, but attendees are welcome to bring a side dish or dessert, according to a news release from the committee.

Town and Lincoln County party organizers plan to lead a discussion on how Democrats can get organized and work together for victory in the 2022 elections.

There will be an opportunity to vote for Wiscasset Democratic Committee officers, and strengthen the local Democratic Committee.

Among those scheduled to attend are Cameron Reny, Democratic candidate for Maine Senate for District 13 (all of Lincoln County) and Evan Goodkowsky, Independent candidate for House District 47, which includes Wiscasset.
