Maine Entomological Society and Kennebec Land Trust plan to explore the world of insects at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 23, at the Vassalboro Wildlife Habitat off Webber Pond Road. Newcomers and more experienced entomologists alike are invited to come and learn about insect identification at the ecologically diverse and recently expanded habitat, according to a news release from the Winthrop-based trust. A raindate is Sunday, July 24.

This property includes a shoreline along Webber Pond, wetland, mature mixed hardwood-conifer stands and more. In 2022 an additional 33 acres were added to the habitat.
