NEWCASTLE —Bryanna Barrett, Grace Hutchins and Evelyn Rousseau scored a goal each Erskine defeated Lincoln 3-2 in field hockey action Wednesday.

Lilly Clark added an assist for Erskine (2-3-1) in the win. Goaltender Mackenzie Toner recorded three saves.

Bella Herring and Maddison Phelps had goals for Lincoln Academy (0-4-1). Lucy Nolan made five saves.

 

DIRIGO 6, HALL-DALE 0: Grace Robbins and Grace Averill each scored two goals in the Cougars victory in Dixfield.

Averills goals in the first half gave Dirigo (4-1-0) a 2-0 lead thanks to assists by Robbins and Lana Waite at halftime. Robbins then scored back-to-back goals in the third with assists going to Jayce Brophy and Waite.

Brophy and Kara Woods each scored goals in the third quarter with assistance from Emily Woods on both occasions. Winning goalie Alivia Ellis made two saves.

Hall-Dale falls to 1-3-1.

 

LAWRENCE 4, FOXCROFT ACADEMY 0: Alicen Higgins, Maddie Niles, Ashtynn Stewart and Addie Goggin each tallied goals for the Bulldogs (6-0) in a win over the Ponies (1-4) in Dover-Foxcroft.

Higgins added an assist for Lawrence. Gabbie Nickerson had a save to earn the shutout.

MAINE CENTRAL INSTITUTE 5, PISCATAQUIS 1: Hannah Weaver scored two goals, and Jenessa Foster, Ashlee Jarvis and Trinity Leavitt added one each, as the Huskies took down the Pirates in Pittsfield.

Foster, Leavitt and Elle Bernier had assists for MCI (3-0-1) in the win. Goaltender Chi Chi Rivera made five saves for the Huskies.

Molly Goodwin scored for PCHS (3-2) in the loss. Addy Beckwith added six saves for the Pirates.

WATERVILLE 3, NOKOMIS 2: Three different players scored to lead the Purple Panthers to the win in Waterville.

Ethan Goodrich, Theo Rhuesen and Garrett Gendreau each had a goal for Waterville (2-2-0). Cole Bazakas added an assist while Alex Snipe made two saves.

 

MT. ABRAM 6, WINTHROP 0: Morgan Thibodeau and Killian Pillsbury each punched in a pair goals as the Roadrunners (4-1) went on to beat the Ramblers (1-2) in Winthrop.

Mt. Abram built a sturdy 4-0 lead by halftime. Sam Cockerham and Byrce Wilcox also scored a goal.

It was a total team effort for the Roadrunners, with assists going to Thibodeau, Kaden Pillsbury, Bear Rollins, Tucker Plouffe, Jose’ Torres and Payton Mitchell.
