Martha Stewart lived a carb lover’s dream on Saturday morning.

The TV celebrity posted on Instagram that she had a “great ‘foodie’ morning” in Portland. She stopped at Standard Baking Co. on Commercial Street for coffee and breads and then went to Norimoto Bakery on Stevens Avenue “to taste Atsuko Fujimoto’s delicious baked foods.”

Stewart posted a few pictures from her visit to Norimoto Bakery, including a photo of her and Fujimoto smiling next to a towering tray in the bakery. Fujimoto was a finalist this year in the Outstanding Baker category at the James Beard Awards.

The bakery describes itself on its website as “European pastries with Japanese sensibility,” and the menu changes regularly to reflect seasonal availability. It recently has included treats such as miso honey kouign amann with pecan, a noritama egg sandwich, an apple cranberry tart and a pumpkin scone with candied ginger.

Norimoto Bakery’s Instagram account commented on the post: “I am still in shock! Very honored to meet with such a legend and a role model like you, Martha! Thank you so very much for your visit.”

She also got a green smoothie at nearby Rwanda Bean Coffee’s Deering Center location. “We are pretty lucky to be neighbors with @norimotobakery in our little sweet spot of Portland!” the coffee shop commented.
