Gardiner’s Johnson Hall plans to host a Spooktacular Costume Bowling Party for children from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30.

The event will be held at Sparetime Recreation at 215 Whitten Road in Hallowell.

There will be glow bowling, music, costume contests, and more. Up to six children/adults are allowed per lane. The lane comes with shoes for each bowler.

The fundraiser will benefit Johnson Hall, helping with programming of shows and artists in the schools, according to a news release from Pam Rideout, office manager/volunteer coordinator.

There will be a costume contest with prizes for the scariest, most original, and best group-themed costume; four or more individuals must dress in the same theme to be eligible to win the latter prize.

The cost is $80 per lane.

For more information, call the Johnson Hall box office at 207-582-7144 between noon and 2 p.m. Tuesday, noon and 3 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and from 5 p.m. on the day of the event.
