RUMFORD — Hayden Madore scored a game-high 16 points, and Amanda Trepanier added 11 as the Hall-Dale girls basketball team rolled to a 65-36 win over Mountain Valley on Monday.

K.J. Greenhalgh also scored 10 points for the Bulldogs (2-0), which won its 28th consecutive game dating back to the 2020-21 season. Ali Mazza scored a team-high 13 points for the Falcons (1-1).

 

MONMOUTH ACADEMY 47, MT. ABRAM 42: The Mustangs (2-0) took control in the third quarter and earned a road win over the Roadrunners (0-2) in Salem.

After a 13-13 first quarter, Mt. Abram outscored Monmouth in the second and led 22-18 at halftime. The Mustangs then outscored the Roadrunners 12-5 in the third quarter to go up 30-27. They added two points to their lead with a 17-15 fourth.

As they did in the season opener, senior Holly Hunt and freshman Kaitlyn Frost paced the Monmouth offense, this time with 16 and 12 points, respectively. Reese Beaudoin contributed seven points and Grace Levesque went 4 for 4 at the free throw line and finished with six points.

SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 69, OAK HILL 11: Jaydn Pingree scored a game-16 points the Phoenix (1-0) vanquished Raiders (0-1) in MVC action in Jay.

Jazmine Pingree and Aubrey Kachnovich contributed 12 points apiece for Spruce Mountain.

Oak Hill had five players score two points each.

 

VALLEY 58, FOREST HILLS 57 (OT): Madeline Hill led all players with 33 points and Rylee Clark added 10 as the Cavaliers prevailed in overtime in Bingham.

Kirsten Bigelow finished with 7 points for Valley (1-0) as well.

Grace Allen scored 24 points and Allie Dunning added 20 to lead the Tigers (2-1).

 

BOYS BASKETBALL

 

RICHMOND 46, SACOPEE VALLEY 41: The Bobcats (1-0) used a 15-5 third quarter run to build a 35-23 lead and hold off the Hawks (0-2) at Hiram.

Wyatt Cassidy had 19 points, including three 3-pointers, to lead Richmond, while Logan Zoulamus added 12 points.

Carson Black led the way for Sacopee Valley with 10 points.

 

FOREST HILLS 90, VALLEY 83: Mason Desjardins scored a game-high 44 points and Cooper Daigle added 23 as the Tigers prevailed in overtime.

Blaine Nadeau added 11 points for Forest Hills (3-0).

Harry Louis scored 32 points and Fisher Tewksbury added 31 to pace the Cavaliers (0-1).

SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 69, OAK HILL 41: Elie Timler deposited a game-high 22 points and Jace Bessey followed with his 20 in the Phoenix’s (1-0) victory over the Raiders (1-0) in Wales.

Bessey knocked down five 3-pointers for Spruce Mountain.

Maverick Swan led Oak Hill with 10 points. Gage Spier, Cooper Scott and Ethan Vattaso added seven points apiece.
