Mills, of the 82nd Airborne, is a recalibrated warrior, motivational speaker, actor, author and advocate for veterans and amputees. In September 2013, Mills and his wife Kelsey founded the nonprofit Travis Mills Foundation to benefit and assist veterans who have been injured in active duty or as a result of their service. The organization offers a variety of programs, including an all-expenses-paid retreat for veterans and their families in Rome.
