NORRIDGEWOCK — The Maine Antique Tractor Club plans to host its Maine Antique Tractor Festival Friday-Sunday, June 23-25, at 351 Waterville Road.

The gate opens at noon Friday, and at 8 a.m. Saturday and Sunday, with activities happening all day.

The club has completed construction on an agricultural museum at 351 Waterville Road. Groundbreaking took place last fall by Glen LaChance of LaChance Building and Remodeling out of Fairfield. An anonymous donation of $100,000 — along with donations from members and sponsors, fundraising efforts and a small bank loan — led to making this longtime goal become reality, according to a news release from Pam Vaillancourt with the club.

The club, founded in 1994 by a handful of tractor lovers, has grown to more than 500 members. It is a nonprofit whose mission is to preserve Maine’s agricultural heritage for present and future generations.

The museum will aid in the preservation of information, documents, and artifacts relating to the invention, development, and use of farm tractors and related equipment. It will open during the festival.

Admission to the festival is $5 per person. There will be more than 20 local crafters and artists, three food vendors, and live antique tractor and equipment demonstrations. A giant flea market, a silent auction, a live auction, and an antique tractor parade also will be offered.
