RICHMOND – This January, staff of the Richmond Area Health Center welcomed family nurse-practitioner Emily Carle to their healthcare team.

Carle earned her Master’s in Nursing from the University of Southern Maine in 2023. Previously, she earned her Bachelor’s in Nursing from the University of Southern Maine, and her Graduate Certificate in Public Health from USM. Additionally, Carle earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Dakota in International Studies and Communications. Her nursing experience includes time spent in a variety of settings, including emergency department care, forensics, and medical missions, according to a news release from HealthReach.
“My hope is to be present for my community with authentic relationships and genuine compassion. My passion in practice is trauma informed care that focuses on the person, not the disease. My promise to my patients is to listen to, empower, and encourage you to live your best life by focusing on holistic health as you define it. I commit to offering integrative resources from food, movement and art to care for your whole mind and body,” said Carle.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
