MADISON — The Run for the Horses 5K and Kid’s Race is set for 9 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 1, at Hight Chrysler Jeep, 507 Lakewood Road.
The event will include music, refreshments and age-group prizes. Walkers and people with are pets welcome.
The event benefits Double B Horse Rescue, which rescues horses, mini horses and donkeys. Double B provides veterinary care and a permanent home for horse that cannot be adopted, according to a news release from Karen Rapallo with Double B Horse Rescue.
