JACKMAN — Penobscot Community Health Care (PCHC) has announced the upcoming retirement of long-time physician Dr. Patricia Doyle, who currently serves in Jackman.
Doyle began her career at PCHC in 1987. She has been active in the community for many years, providing home health visits and after-hours care, according to a news release from the center. She has acted as a preceptor and mentor for numerous medical students throughout the years and she played an instrumental role in establishing the successful 24/7 acute care program, bringing specialized training and telehealth oversight to paramedics who provide after-hours care to community members.
Doyle will be an integral part of finding a replacement provider and will continue to work as the primary medical provider until a new provider has been transitioned into this role. She is set to retire in 2025.
