LIVERMORE FALLS — Police are investigating a break-in at Mend North Cannabis, a medical marijuana retail store, early Tuesday morning at 57 Main St.
The burglary was reported at about 9 a.m. According to the store’s surveillance video, the burglary happened at about 5 a.m., officer Trevor Gagnon said Tuesday.
It appears that the subjects smashed a surveillance camera outside the store. A chunk of asphalt was thrown through a window and then they entered the establishment through a side window, Gagnon said, reading from officer Michael Adcock’s report.
It appears jars of medical marijuana and products, and an undisclosed amount of cash were taken, Gagnon said, according to the report.
Adcock was on patrol and checked a site off state Route 17, also known locally as Fayette Road, in Livermore Falls. He found a vehicle in the woods and there was a large jar of marijuana in the vehicle along with other items stolen from various places, Gagnon said.
It is believed the vehicle was stolen from the Winthrop area.
The break-in remains under investigation, Gagnon said.
Anyone who has any information or saw anything suspicious around Mend North Cannabis, which is next to Cumberland Farms on Main Street, is asked to call the Livermore Falls Police Department at 207-897-3424.

Police noticed that the bottom half of a door was missing while on patrol.
About $850 in product and paraphernalia, including two bongs, edibles, lighters and other inventory, was taken n the 2023 break-in, Adcock said. Damage to the display cases, door and a light was estimated at between $2,500 and $3,500.
