MADISON — Raegan Cowan scored seven goals, including the 100th of her career, as Madison defeated Vinalhaven 11-0 in girls soccer action Monday.
Mackenzie Robbins added three goals for the Bulldogs (3-0-0) while Leila Dunphy had one. Ella Haynie chipped in with three assists.
Vinalhaven falls to 0-2-0.
MARANACOOK 6, MONMOUTH ACADEMY 1: Celia Bergdahl scored two goals and added an assist for the Black Bears in a victory in Readfield.
Phoebe Bell and Caroline Harper each had a goal and assist for Maranacook (3-0-1). Alice Ferren and Evelyn Stevenson each added goals for the Black Bears, while Devyn Eliason had four saves.
Brooke King had nine saves for the Mustangs (1-2-0).
WINTHROP 2, OAK HILL 1: Abby St. Clair and Zion Armstrong scored back-to-back goals in the Ramblers’ win over the Raiders in Winthrop.
St. Clair scored in the 46th minute and Armstrong in the 49th minute.
Their goals game right after Carlee Austin gave Oak Hill a 1-0 lead in the 45th minute.
FIELD HOCKEY
CONY 5, MCI 0: Abby Morrill had a hat trick to lead the Rams to the win in Pittsfield.
Carolina Hendrickson added a goal and two assists for Cony (2-2) while Helen Dineen chipped in a goal and Natalie Dube an assist. Avery Maxim made five saves.
Keydaliz Rivera stopped 10 shots for MCI (1-3).
DIRIGO 2, OAK HILL 0: Two second-half goals boosted the Cougars in a battle of MVC stalwarts in Wales.
Grace Averill set up Alyssa Ellis for the first goal in the third period, then Samantha Searle added an unassisted tally in the fourth.
Dirigo (3-0) goalie Kera Reny stopped all six shots she face, while Oak Hill’s (2-2) Ella Martin made 11 saves on 13 shots.
HALL-DALE 4, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 1: Mira Skehan and Graces Estes each scored two goals for the Bulldogs in a victory in Farmingdale.
Torie Tibbetts had two assists, while Sidney Keleher added an assist for Hall-Dale (2-2). Jade Graham had nine saves.
Addison Libby scored the lone goal for the Falcons (0-3). Isabell Dupuis had 12 saves.
