Thank you, Ellen (“Thank you, Central Maine,” advertisement from the Children’s Book Cellar, Nov. 17).
It was a pleasure, and a joy, to find books, order books, pick just the right gift for a child in our lives, and to stand at the counter of the Children’s Book Cellar and chat with Ellen over these past 22 years. We enjoyed her wry outlook, sense of humor, participation in community activities and hosted events.
What a treasure her beautiful store has been in our downtown life in Waterville. We wish Ellen well, and we wish her time to enjoy good books in comfort in the coming seasons.
