BUCKFIELD — The Richmond boys basketball team went in a 15-4 run in the fourth quarter to earn a 55-46 win over Buckfield on Tuesday night.
The Bobcats (1-2) trailed 42-40 after three periods.
David Edward drained six 3-pointers and put up a game-high 21 points for Richmond. Zaden Steele added nine and Leeum Dufresne and Jake Gay each had eight.
Buckfield (1-3) was led by Trenton Haskell’s 17 points, while Krosby Harvey finished with 13.
BREWER 62, LAWRENCE 49: Oliver Higgins scored 19 points as the Witches won in Fairfield.
Owen Fullerton added 18 points and Steven Youngs 16 for Brewer (2-0).
Cole Quirion scored 16 points for Lawrence (0-3).
SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 56, MADISON 28: Jace Bessey put up a game-high 27 points for the Phoenix in their win in Jay.
Caden Frazier added seven points for Spruce Mountain (3-0).
Jacob Linkletter led Madison (0-3) with 12 points.
MONMOUTH ACADEMY 49, OAK HILL 38: Levi Laverdiere’s game-high 20 points paced the Mustangs to victory in Wales.
Bingham Abbott contributed 10 points and Jake Harmon nine to Monmouth’s victory.
Eli Desmond led Oak Hill (1-4) with 11 points.
HAMPDEN ACADEMY 45, MT. BLUE 30: Aidan Kochendoerfer led the Broncos with 12 points in their win in Hampden.
Miles Shain added 11 points and Sawyer Worcester had 10 for Hampden Academy (2-1).
Tyler Abell scored a game-high 18 points, including three 3-pointers, for Mt. Blue (3-1).
MCI 46, ERSKINE ACADEMY 36: Drew Shorey scored 18 points as the Huskies won in South China.
David Wright also had 11 points for MCI (1-3), which outscored Erskine 29-11 in the second half after trailing 25-17 at the break.
Carter Ulmer led the Eagles (1-3) with 10 points.
MOUNTAIN VALLEY 49, WINTHROP 46: Ben Desalle scored four of his 14 points in overtime as the Falcons (2-2) prevailed in Rumford.
Mountain Valley’s Tanner Henry led all scorers with 17 points, highlighted by four 3-pointers. Dylan Theriault added nine points, including the Falcons’ other two overtime points on a pair of free throws.
Cole Bard led Winthrop (2-2) with 13 points, while Carter Rivers had 10 and Braden Branagan nine points.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
BUCKFIELD 50, RICHMOND 35: Sarae Devoe finished with 14 points for the Bucks in their win in Buckfield.
Chloee Bennett contributed 11 points for Buckfield (3-0).
Darby Flanagan tallied 14 points for Richmond (0-3), and Olivia Mason added 12.
MORSE 43, WINSLOW 26: Reese Darling finished with 18 points and Selah Park added 11 to lead the Shipbuilders to the win in Bath.
Morse improved to 2-1.
Bailey Richard led Winslow (0-3) with nine points. Emma Fales and Kelty Pooler each scored seven.
