BINGHAM — Fisher Tewksbury had 22 points and 11 rebounds to lead Valley to a 66-44 win over Telstar in a matchup of top Class D South and East/West Conference boys basketball teams Monday.
Harry Louis added 22 points for Valley (9-0), which outscored Telstar 26-10 in the second quarter. Hunter Mills tallied 13 points and 16 rebounds.
Brody Morgan (12 points), Reiley Hedden (11 points) and Cooper Morgan (10) all scored in double figures for Telstar (7-4).
CARRABEC 55, PINE TREE ACADEMY 20: The Cobras outscored the Breakers 20-0 in the fourth quarter to cement an East/West Conference win in North Anson.
Pete Vicneire led all scorers with 14 points for Carrabec (8-2). The Cobras also got 13 points from Jackson Newton and 12 from Desmond Robinson.
Collin Verrill scored eight points for Pine Tree Academy (8-3), and Collin Verrill added seven.
RICHMOND 56, BUCKFIELD 48: Jake Gay paced the Bobcats (6-3) with 17 points in a win over the Bucks (5-7) in Richmond.
Zander Steele contributed 12 points.
Gaven Parsons finished with 14 points for Buckfield. Nolan Litchfield added 10.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 62, MARANACOOK 46: Maddie Grimaldi scored 22 points as the Phoenix beat the Black Bears in Readfield.
Avery Bessey scored 18 points for Class B South-leading Spruce Mountain (11-1). Lily Bellerose added 13 points.
Celia Bergdahl had a double-double for Maranacook (7-4), scoring 20 points and grabbing 13 rebounds. Alice Ferran added 12 points and eight rebounds.
MONMOUTH ACADEMY 28, MT. ABRAM 27: The Mustangs outscored the Roadrunners 9-4 in the fourth quarter to earn a win in Monmouth.
Tarynn Keleher scored nine points, and Maeve Burgess had five points and seven rebounds for Monmouth (6-5).
Jenna Osgood scored 10 points and Kharlie Turner added eight for Mt. Abram (6-5).
VALLEY 75, TELSTAR 12: The Cavaliers erupted for 36 points in the first quarter to breeze past the Rebels in Bingham.
Madeline Hill led Valley (9-0) with 17 points. She also grabbed seven rebounds. Brianna Mills (14 points), Liana Hartwell (13 points, seven rebounds) and Kirsten Bigelow (10 points, eight steals) were among other contributors for the Cavaliers.
Mya Buck had eight points to lead Telstar (1-11).
WINTHROP 77, LISBON 22: Kylee Savage paced the Ramblers (9-3) with 17 points in their win over the Greyhounds (0-12) in Winthrop.
Kylee Mansir added 15 points and Caroline Corgan had 10.
Hanna Perron led Lisbon with 11 points.
