FARMINGTON — Nolan Leso scored 28 points as the Mt. Blue boys basketball team defeated Skowhegan 71-45 on Tuesday night.
Tyler Abell added 14 points for the Cougars (8-4), which was 16 for 17 from the free throw line.
Jack Fitzpatrick scored 14 points, including four 3-pointers, for Skowhegan (8-4).
RANGELEY 58, TEMPLE ACADEMY 48: Sam Morrill scored 22 points as the Lakers won in Rangeley.
Anthony Whittier also had 19 points and added 11 rebounds for Rangeley (2-9).
Peyton Reckards led the Bereans (4-8) with 14 points.
LEAVITT 57, WATERVILLE 41: Colin Schlobohm scored 17 points as the Hornets won in Turner.
Jacob Gibbs also had 10 points for Leavitt (5-6).
Derek Couture led the Panthers (2-9) with 10 points.
LINCOLN ACADEMY 55, MT. VIEW 34: Chase Coffin made four 3-pointers in the opening quarter, sparking a 22-4 run that propelled the Eagles to the win in Newcastle.
Coffin finished with five 3-pointers and 17 points for Lincoln Academy (9-3). Terry Welle scored 11 points and EJ Hunt had 10.
Brady Bryant led Mt. View (7-6) with 11 points.
SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 84, MARANACOOK 32: Five players scored in double figures, led by Jace Bessey scored 28 points, as the Phoenix rolled to the win in Livermore Falls.
Austin Armandi (15 points), Owen Kelvey (13), Dylan Jewett (11) and Cai Dougher (10) also had strong nights for Spruce Mountain (10-2).
Jack Fontaine scored eight points for Maranacook (6-5).
MEDOMAK VALLEY 78, ERSKINE ACADEMY 46: Gabe Lash scored 28 points and grabbed 14 rebounds to lift the Panthers in Waldoboro.
Rocco DePatsy added 17 points and Kristian Schumann had 15 for Medomak Valley (12-0).
Wyatt Michaud scored 15 points for Erskine Academy (5-7).
GIRLS HOCKEY
YARMOUTH/FREEPORT 5, WINSLOW/GARDINER/CONY/MESSALONSKEE/LAWRENCE/ERSKINE/MARANACOOK 1: Mya Nasveschuk finished with a pair of goals to lead Yarmouth/Freeport (11-1-1) over Winslow (4-9) at Travis Roy Ice Arena.
Erin O’Connor, Drea Rideout and Celia Zinman added goals for Yarmouth/Freeport while Adelaide Strout finished with three assists.
