Erskine Academy pulled away in the fourth quarter, turning a two-point lead into a 56-46 win over Waterville in a boys basketball game on Monday in Waterville.
Erskine’s Gavin Fanjoy scored 10 of his game-high 19 points in the final period. Dominic Brann hit a pair of 3-pointers in the fourth and finished with eight points.
Garrett Gendreau led the Purple Panthers (2-11) with 12 points, and Derek Couture had 11.
TRAIP ACADEMY 53, WINTHROP 42: Jack Downs knocked down five 3-pointers and scored a game-high 21 points to lead the Rangers over the Ramblers in Winthrop.
Chris Belano and Colin O’Laughlin each added nine points for Traip, which improved to 5-10.
Cole Bard led Winthrop (8-7) with 10 points, while Jake Galusha scored eight and Braden Branagan had seven.
GIRLS HOCKEY
EDWARD LITTLE/LEAVITT/POLAND/MONMOUTH 4, FALMOUTH/SCARBOROUGH 1: Leksi Langevin scored twice in Edward Little/Leavitt/Poland/Monmouth/Oxford Hill’s (8-4-2) win over Falmouth/Scarborough (5-9) at Falmouth Family Ice Center.
Avery Cologna notched a goal and two assists for the Red Hornets, and Adeline Langan also scored.
Hope Melevsky scored Falmouth/Scarborough’s goal.
Red Hornets goalie Paige Fecteau made 15 saves, and Tessa Woodbury stopped 34 shots.
BOYS HOCKEY
KENTS HILL 5, EDWARD LITTLE 2: Alex Godbois scored four times in the Huskies (5-4) win over the Red Eddies (3-8) in Readfield.
Nathan Roy also scored for Kents Hill.
Breccan Albert recorded a goal and an assist for Edward Little and Andrew Clements also scored.
Milan Angyalfi stopped 25 shots for Kents Hill and Caden Westhoven stopped 31 shots Edward Little.
